PSG vs Liverpool
Coming into the penultimate round of group games in Champions League Group C, I think it’s fair to say that nobody expected the table to look like this. PSG and Liverpool were the overwhelming favourites for the top 2 spots, but with just 6 points left to play for, the entire group is separated by an easily bridged 2 points.
Napoli are the side sitting at the top of the pile after 3 draws and a shock win over Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s men level on points with the Italians but facing a daunting trip to the French capital on Wednesday. PSG have 5 points, and know that a win could send them to the top of the group on Wednesday.
The Ligue 1 giants are absolutely cruising domestically as well. They have won every one of their 14 Ligue 1 matches and have scored a ridiculous 46 goals in the process. They have added 11 goals in 4 games in the Champions League too, taking their total up to 57 goals in 18 games since the season began. 35 of these have come in their 10 home games too, so Liverpool’s defence could come under attack here
